πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁✍πŸ˜€☁
Today I learnt about what you need in order for an explanation writing. In the beginning you will need a clear title about what you are going to explain. Secondly you will need a introduction that will explain what you are going to talk about and how you will get the audience attention.
πŸ˜€☁✍
Thirdly, you will need paragraphs to put in order, so the readers can understand the text clearly, then you will need to have a mix of language features, Pictures and also diagrams and Connective Words.
πŸ˜€☁✍
Also you will need verbs and vocabulary to explain what it is about and what type of writing you are writing about. Lastly you will need a Conclusion to wrap up your wonderful and amazing explanation writing, so that everyone has a fun day to enjoy what they have learnt.
πŸ˜€☁✍
I really appreciated that I have learnt this with all my effect to trying my best to give it a go with trying to get the answers correct.
I hope you learnt something as well as I have because I have learnt a new way of writing.
πŸ˜€☁✍

Thank you, I am appreciated.

Kiwisport Reflection - T2W3 2017

Kiwisport Reflection:

WALT: practice on our dribbling and passing.

Hi, today I am going to blog about my Basketball Kiwisport reflection. What I did at Kiwi Sport today was that we (Room 9) had to practice on our chest passing and dribbling as well as bounce pass. Also our coaches (Hyrum & Peter) helped us be better at playing basketball and focus on what is happening around us as well.
The different movements of basketball I learnt was Overhead pass and Lay ups, these are the two things I think I actually participated in and didn't give up.

Game 1: Miami Drills: what we had to do was that there were 5 or 6 people lined up in a ziczac and the other 5 or 6 students were lined up on the yellow line. When it was my turn to pass the to the students in the ziczac line I was getting nervous and when I got to the hoop I felt shy and scared because I thought that others would of laughed at me.

Game 2: Ball tag: What we done for ball tag was that the girls and the boys got splitted up into boys and girls teams and we were in a small amount of space inside the white lines of the basketball court. And what we had to do was grab 1 ball and one of the coaches would give it to the girls team and the girls will have to pass the ball around and try to tag the boys with the ball and try get them out. But you can not run with the ball.

What I found challenging was when I had to do the lay up for the game "Miami Drills" I found this challenging because I was confused with how to do it and what hand I have to use to try shoot it in.
Also I felt happy that I participated and contributed in the activities that we were given.

What my favorite game was, was Ball Tag because I threw
the ball across others heads and also tagged other out as well.

I really hope you enjoyed my reflection and learnt something new like the 2 games, Miami Drills and Ball Tag.

Toku Whare Tapa Wha - T2W1 2017

IARO: my state of health using the Whare Tapa Wha model.

Today I will be blogging about my thoughts about what the walls mean to me, which is: Taha Tinana, Taha Hinengaro, Taha Whanau and Taha Wairua. What I learnt from this task is that there are different meaning towards them all such as Taha Whanau means Social relationships that means caring for each other and communicating as well.

What I enjoyed about this task was when we had to explain what it means to ourselves and why.
What I learnt from this topic of "Health."has helped me build more confidence in myself and to participate in our syndicate activities.
I hope you enjoy my presentation. THANK YOU FOR READING!!!!!

ANZAC Poem Reflection - T2W1 2017

Today I will be blogging about me and my friend Faiths Anzac Poem.
WALT: write a poem to remember the people that fought for us on Airl the 25th.

The reason why we made a poem is because it was for Anzac day Last week Tuesday. What my favorite bit of my Anzac poem is when I wrote " Remembering the soldiers fighting for our country." This was my favorite bit because they actually fought for us and for their families as well as our land. What I enjoyed the most was when we got to decorate our presentations slides and also when we got to write our own poems by ourselves.

How I felt about this task was sad because the soldiers that fought for us had to leave their families and friends to fight for their land to save us all.
Also I fet happy because they sacrifice their life to save our land. NEW ZEALAND!!!
What I would like to achieve would be more specific with what am I trying to say through my work.

I hope you enjoy my presentation with my friend Faith. Thank you for reading.

IALT: explain what I have been doing for the past 6 days in the school holidays.
REFLECTION PIECE:
πŸ˜„πŸ˜Ž✌❤
My holiday so far has been alright. What I have done during the holiday is staying at home playing with my little brothers and sister. We would make each other laugh and stuff that would be silly.
What I enjoyed the most during my holidays is going over to my nana's house and playing with my cousins and making my 2 younger cousins cry for their toys and also because I play with our baby cousin Skylar Rose. Also my other highlight is going shopping with my uncle, his girlfriend and their baby "Skylar."
While it is still the holidays I am wishing that me and my family goes out somewhere exciting so we can make a lot of memories together.

Also I hope you enjoyed my reflection about my 6 day holiday so far.
Also I will blog next week to tell you about what happened another time.

Helen & Faith - Te Oro Reflection - T1W11 2017

Image result for Te Oro
WALT: help stop pollution by writing warning messages of how to keep our environment healthy.
This was the best second to last day of school ever.
Today at 10:30 am me and my friend Faith went to Te Oro in Glen Innes. We stayed until it was 11:00am in the morning. What we did there was that we had to go to Room 13 I think. But what we did was we had to stand at our presentation area and we had to explain what we did to create it and also why we made it and how to help out so it will happen.
Also our topic was Ko te awa, ko te awa ko au which means " I am the river, and the river is me."
What I really enjoyed the most was when we got to check out all the different projects or presentations that other students from different schools have created.
What I thought about our time at Te Oro was quite boring because not that much people came in and asked us questions, but on the other side I thought that everyone's creations were amazing because of how they made games and different objects as well.
What I learnt from our time at Te Oro was that we don't always have to respect our community but we can also respect animals, human beings and many more.
Also I enjoyed seeing different performances from different schools and from my school. I mostly enjoyed seeing my family members.
I hope you enjoyed my reflection piece and you should visit "Te Oro" in Glen Innes.
I hope you learnt something different as well. Please comment and Thank you.

Reusing & Attributing - T1W9/W10 2017

WALT: reuse and attribute images.

SC: I am able to understand our topic " Reuse and Attribute."
I am able to use different types of ways to find images.

Today I will be blogging about my presentation on about Reuse & Attribute. Our cybersmart teacher is Mrs Shearing, she has been doing cybersmart with us for a couple of weeks. Also lets get onto our topic.

What this presentation is about, is that we had to find 4 different images that were to "REUSE." So we picked picked our 4 images or pictures and we put it onto our 4 slides we had to put it on. As we done that we had to Name the Authors name, the License Type and also the Image Title. This presentation is part of Cybersmart, this helps us know that we can add it onto our piece of work and that it is right for us to use.

What I learnt?: What I learnt from this Reuse & Attribute Presentation was that I learnt how to find out who was the author of it and to find out what the Image title is for the Image.
I learnt how to find a Reuse Image on google Images, all you have to do is search a image you're looking for example a "Monkey" and the  you go to google images and press on the word at the top on the right side named "Tools" when you clicked that you will see "Usage rights" then you click that and then you will see "Labeled for reuse".

What I found challenging?: What I found challenging was when we had to find 4 reuse images and to type down all or some of the details on about those 4 images. I wanted to only do 3 because it was fasted but then I started to enjoy doing the presentation and learning new things.

What I enjoyed the most?: What I enjoyed the most was adding images that look interesting in my eyes and it had a lot of detail around that creature or animal. I also enjoyed finding perfect photos for this presentation because it was a piece of work to me.

What I found different?: Something that I found different was that this cybersmart activity was different because most of our cybersmart lesson are about keeping our passwords safe and not talking to strangers, also this cybersmart activity was for seeing which image or picture we could use and not use.

I really hope you enjoyed my presentation and I hope you learnt something as well. Please comment, What you learnt different? and also What you enjoyed about it?. Thank you really much for readingthrough I reall appreciate it.

πŸ”ŽHelen & Faiths - Digital Dig - T1W9 2017πŸ”Ž

πŸ”ŽWALT: explain different shortcuts on a chromebook.πŸ”Ž

Greetings to you all, I am going to blog about our Digital Dig presentation. This presentation is about different types of ways to do different shortcuts.
What I found challenging was trying to find a video that is linked to the word "Cybersmart." But as I was looking through and typing in cybersmart videos I found a perfect one on about passwords to keep them safe. Also I found taking a photos slightly tilting my head on the side was a bit difficult because I normally keep my head right in the middle.
What I enjoyed about this task was learning different shortcuts on our netbooks/chromebooks.
Here are 2 examples about shortcuts: 1.) CTRL + A: selects your whole text you wrote and the second on is: CTRL + T: this makes a new tab.
I really hope you enjoy me and my friends Faith's presentation. Please leave a comment down below.
THANK YOU:

Music Lesson Reflection

the rhythm tree diagram
WALT: explain what a rhythm-tree is.

Today we were learning about what is a rhythm-tree is, what I learnt about the rhythm-tree was what a whole note is called in UK it is called a "Semibreve." and in US it is called as you all know a "Whole note." What I enjoyed about today's lesson was how we could make our beats on a website called Soundtrap to make it sound better and to make it hiep you up. I learnt different things like how to communicate with different people during the learning of Music lessons. I am pride that I learnt something different outside of the classroom and that it is a different subject.
What I found challenging was when we had to make our own beat with a drum kit but with no other instrument. I felt scared and not safe because I thought they will always laugh and put me down.
I really hope you enjoy and hopeful you learnt something different.

Learning With Buddies about Eels

WALT: explain what the meaning of a eel is.

What I am going to blog about today is about our Buddies and ourselves have been learning about what eels eat, where they live and what is their habitat. What my buddy Owyn learnt today about eels was that they eat worms and fish such as freshwater-crayfish, what I learnt today was that eels hide under a lot of different things like rocks, sand, shells that's only if they can fit and also in tiny places such as tiny holes only for the baby eels though.
As we were learning about eels, it was challenging where we had to explain what the meaning to the word amphibians into our own words.
Thank You for looking through our buddy work on about "EELS!"

As I am blogging about our Creek walk With our Reading Buddies.
Today I would like to blog about the Creek Walk With our Buddies.

On Monday the 27th of February my class Rm 9 and our Reading buddy class got ready to go the Dunkirk Creek around the corner of our school. As we reached our destination we were told to be in a line so we could be given our piece of paper to find the objects on what we had to find.

Owyn:  What I liked about the creek was that it was cool because I saw the eel under the rock in the water..
Helen: What I liked about the creek walk was when we were trying to find the objects on our piece of paper.
What I found challenging was to try find the one eel in the water which took me about 10 - 11 minutes to find it in the creek. My buddy Owyn had a lot of fun that which made our day a better day to have a good walk during school time.

As we were finished finding our hidden objects we all had to talk about what we found different that we haven't sawn on the piece of paper. When we finished talking about what we saw different we were all lined up and were ready to get going walking back to school.

I really hope you enjoyed reading about what we learnt at the creek and what we liked about our creek walk at Dunkirk Creek.

WHAT IS POLLUTION???

IALA: what the definition is for pollution.

What I am going to blog about today is "What Is Pollution?" I have some facts of what pollution does to you and how it can affect the world or our community. I really hope I would work for the community help center to help make the community a healthy better place, I like the way most countries participate to keep their environment nice and clean. I really liked the way I learnt about what the different types of pollutions are, also I learnt what they can contain to your special body and what will happen to you.

I really hope you enjoyed my Document on about "What is Pollution?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Is Pollution?
Pre-Structural:
  • Pollution causes different damages like air pollution: If we were trapped with different people in a classroom with no windows or anything for us to breath in we would breath in other students breath into our lungs and we could die.

Uni-Structural:
  • Pollution is a lot different 1: Land pollution - littering by being lazy to walk to the rubbish bin to put it in the bin, spilling liquid on the ground and also by dumping your food scraps on the side of the road.

Facts:
  • Air pollution can cause damages that will affect the part where you breath which is your lungs.
  • Water pollution can form a plante of worms in your stomach.
  • Land pollution contains community pollution which is rubbish on the ground (littering), traffic because of the petrol that is coming out of the cars, trucks and even the motorcycles.

What is pollution?
Pollution is what causes lung problems air problems and also different things that we could breath from and also drink from. What pollution does is that it could kill you by drinking a cup of water mixed with petrol for cars, it could cause a lot of damage to your nose, eyes, ears and mostly your lungs. Your lungs are the most important thing in your body because whatever the smell of nasty damaging smell that goes through your nostrils will affect your breathing space then you will die. Also there is a community pollution by: Tagging of walls, littering, spilling your drink on to the ground, smoke can contain damages to your lungs and dumping rubbish on the side of the road.

Opinion Piece:

My opinion is to keep the whole entire world healthy and to make young and old people safe and sound.
