Kiwisports - FINAL LESSON - T2W9 (BASKETBALL)

IALT: improve on my shooting technique and to aim right at the target through playing basketball.

Hello, today I will be blogging about what I found our last lesson of basketball today. Today is our last day of having basketball os our Kiwisport today, I really don't enjoy that happening because basketball is one of my top favorite sports and also the coaches Hyram and Peter were funny and they teached us a lot of different skills and technique for us to get better at playing this sport. What they always use to say was "If you keep practicing you will get better at it." I always practiced and practiced at home because nearly my whole family is a fan of basketball and they are better than me. So I got better.

So what challenges did I have during the the lesson? So the challenges I had during the lesson today was to spread out so that your whole team can pass the ball around without dropping it down. Also when I had to work with different people I normally don't hang out with during our basketball game. Also it was challenging when I had to run around the court to get to the other side for my team to win. The last challenging moment during this lesson was trying to shoot the ball in the basketball hoop for my team to get a point.

What was my best part of the lesson today? My best part of the last lesson today was playing 2 different basketball games which was Golden Child and Numbers why I say this was my best part is because I participated and I wasn't shy with how I played and I also am proud of myself for contributing and playing with other students. My other best part of today's lesson was challenging my friends from the other team and shooting in the basketball in the hoop.

What did I liked the least about the lesson? What I liked the least was hearing my team players putting others down for example how some students in my group wasn't spreading out. Also when my team players didn't want to participate and contribute in the last lesson of basketball. The last thing a least liked about today's lesson was that the other group cheated and keep on moving up when they were suppose to stop where the whistle blew.

How did I feel and what were my thoughts about the lesson? How I felt about this lesson was happy because I participated and I wasn't shy to show how I play and what I can do. What my thoughts were was try my best as it is the last lesson with Hyram and Peter. Also I felt and thought that I couldn't do it until one of my teammates encouraged me to join in the game. I thought that I wouldn't be able to run because of what happened to my knee last week but at least I tried and I achieved. I felt really happy and surprised because I keep on complaining about my leg the whole weekend.

So I had a wonderful morning with my class and  I enjoyed encouraging others and I hope we have another sport that I will enjoy to play next week.

Technology Reflection

Technology Reflection:

Today I will be blogging about what I did at Technology this morning.

What I did was make a dish which was Pasta Salad with Ham.

What I enjoyed about this dish was making it and also mixing all the ingredients together and tasting it at the end after we clean up our kitchen. Also I enjoyed making this dish with my buddy Mary Jane.

What I learnt from this lesson was how to make each bowl have the same equal amount of food in each bowl.

The ingredients we used was:

• Macaroni
• Ham
• Tomato
• Onion
• Mayonaise

The equipment we used was:

• Bowl
• Strainer
• Slotted Spoon
• Colander
• Knife
• Wooden Spoon
• Pot
• Chopping board

What I enjoyed was working as a team with my buddy and each getting a part with what to do for our cooking.

Tolerance Poster - T2W7 2017

IALT: tolerate others in a acceptable way.

Today I will be blogging about what Tolerance to me. What I think tolerance means to me is being respectful for others differences and to accept who they really are, not to be fake and to be mindful for how they would feel if you are being mean to them.

What I learnt from what tolerance means is that to accept others for what they believe in or for what they look different like. (Skin tone, body shape and also colour.)

What I expressed was that I expressed what the word "Tolerance" means tome and how it relates with myself for who I am.

I learnt a lot of different things during the time I/we was learning about tolerance about why we should appreciate others differences and why we should accept them for who they are.

I hope you learnt something as well as I did and I hope you enjoy my poster just right under this sentence.

Maths Games - T2W7 2017

WALT: use different math symbols to get the right answers.

Today I will be blogging what I did for maths today. What I did for maths today was learn different math games to do by using cards or different materials. We were splitted up in groups of 5 and in my group there was Leilani, Monita and also Aletheia, what we used to do our maths with was with cards. 

What we did with the cards was play a multiplication game which we have to have one person which has to put 2 cards in the middle for example "5 and 3" so then we had to times it so it would be " 5x4" which would equal 20 sothe rest of the group has to try figure out what the answer is and who ever says the right answer gets the 2 cards and when all the cards are finished we had to start all over again but have another person put down the 2 cards.

What I learnt from this math game was my 9 and 7 timetables.

What I enjoyed was seeing my group trying their best and also myself try and figure out what the answer to the question is.

What I found challenging was trying to get the right answer instantly and try get the high score.

Talk in Room 10

WALT: accept others.

I will be blogging about what our talk was about yesterday. Our talk was about "Tukumarie" which means Tolerance and Accepting. What I learnt from our talk is that we should include others even though they look different in skin tone, skin colour and the shape they are. I think this is great because it is good that we should learn different things about each other like what kind of traditional dances they do and what kind of food they eat.

What I enjoyed was seeing everyone contributing and participating in our task as a team yesterday.

This blog post I say that he has some mistakes on his punctuation and spelling. What I think he needs to work on is putting in the right spelling instead of using gang slangs on his blog post.

Whitewater Rafting Reflection - T2W7 2017

IALT: reflect on my class trip last week.

(Vector Whitewater Rafting.)

Today I will be blogging about my class (Room 9) did on Friday 9th June 2017. What we did was Whitewater rafting we were ready for a different experiment in our lives which was Whitewater RAFTING at Manukau. 

What I learnt from the lesson at our location was that if you are near a river and you are trying to reach the other side you could throw a rock in and if you hear a "plip" sound it has hit a rock and it could mean it is shallow and if you hear a "blop" sound it could mean that it is alright for you to walk pass.

What I enjoyed from this trip was trying something new and also facing my fear which is deep water.

What I found challenging was trying to sit on the raft probably so I don't fall out and also I found trying to row the raft was hard because it was hurting my shoulders but it was a good workout.
